Michelle Maldonado’s Biography

Music takes on so many forms. It is endless creativity made into sweet sounds! Smooth and sultry like velvet, rich and deep like dark chocolate, light ‘n sweet like raspberry lemonade on a hot summer’s day, spicy, funky, soulful, hot, slow ‘n sexy! You name it Music can be it.

Born in New York City and raised in the ‘Boogie down Bronx” I was surrounded by a kaleidoscope of music and culture. 

**with a very close and large Puerto Rican family house parties were a regular occurrence. As a child what I experienced was music, laughter, dancing, happiness, lots of love and delicious food. It was the perfect mix of good times and also the easiest and most fun way to be introduced to all kinds of great music. From the classics my Abuela (grandmother) played and the latest jams my older cousins were listening to, I watched and learned how to dance salsa, merengue, the hustle and much more!

****As soon as I could I began going out dancing to the clubs … way before I should have been allowed through the doors, they didn’t card back then 🤣🤣🏻🏻🏻

****I decided to mix business with pleasure and began working at the clubs (The Copa Cabana and Latin Quarters) Making money while hearing great music, watching ‘Classic Salseros’ and ‘Live Orchestras’ play amazing tracks was a ‘win-win’ for me.

Hearing the live salsa bands in Puerto Rico on the beach are a few parts of my moments in music which is a constant in my life. 

TIRT’s The Nawty Nattys Radio Broadcasting System (NNRBS) has given me a magnificent opportunity to express my love for music from the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico featuring Reggaeton.
